"Read. Reflect. Recommend."
The ACM Student Chapter, VIT Chennai, in collaboration with the Office of Students’ Welfare, successfully organized an online literary event titled “ACM Wings of Knowledge” on August 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The event was conducted with the theme “Read. Reflect. Recommend.”, encouraging students to explore books, reflect on their ideas, and share meaningful recommendations with others under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Dr. T. Subbulakshmi and Student Coordinators Snigdha Neya Baskar and Ranjana.
The event aimed to promote reading and meaningful discussions among students by creating a platform where books could be explored beyond simply reading them. It focused on encouraging participants to connect the lessons and ideas from books with real-life experiences and personal growth.
The event particularly sought individuals who could:
Welcome and Introduction: The event commenced with a welcome to the participants, followed by an introduction to the purpose and theme of ACM Wings of Knowledge.
Reading and Reflection: The session focused on the importance of reading with understanding and reflecting on the ideas and lessons presented through books.
Sharing of Insights: Participants were encouraged to share their thoughts, perspectives, and recommendations, creating an interactive environment around books and their practical relevance.
Discussion and Interaction: The event provided an opportunity for participants to engage in discussions on themes such as purpose, resilience, and personal transformation, highlighting how books can influence everyday life.
